In all of the imaging of bare copper surfaces carried out in this work, the three-phase contact line beneath a bubble undergoes visible in-plane motion during lateral coalescence, as is typically seen29,30. This behavior, however, is not seen on the bi-conductive surfaces where the epoxy divisions remain wetted at all times and effectively create boundaries that the three-phase contact lines do not move over. However, the rest of the case is not nearly as nice. While it is protective, it feels fairly cheap, like one of those $1 cases you’d buy off Alibaba. Half of it is glossy and half is matte, with textured grip areas going up and down the sides. The buttons are a major issue, as they’re raised from the rest of the case about half a nanometer. The texture on them is slightly different, but it’s not enough to make them stand out when you’re just trying to raise or lower the volume. I hit the wrong area when trying to press a button quite often while using this case. At least the cutouts are precise.

The rear camera system on the Honor 8C is comprised of two lenses – a 13-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2-megapixel (f/2.2) secondary depth sensor. There’s phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) as well, with Huawei claiming that the AI-based enhancements allow the smartphone to capture some great photos. This isn’t always the case.

In my eyes, the Vault is still the better buy, but the Parallax has more interesting color options and a slightly more unique design. The Parallax does end up being a little wider and a little taller because of the external frame, so the added flair doesn’t come at no cost. $13.99 is still a great price, and you won’t find the diamond texture anywhere else.

The Urban Armor Gear Trooper case takes great pains to secure three to four plastic cards (and a bit of cash) in its roomy interior, and provides a locking door that acts like a mini safe — nothing’s gonna fall out of this wallet case. This case is beefy. Rounded edges and a smooth exterior doesn’t get stuck on my pocket while I’m putting it away.

Unfortunately, the standard Windows 10 Camera app is very basic and in no way takes full advantage of either of the integrated cameras. We definitely recommend searching for a third party camera app.
